We are proud to announce our 2025 annual congress:

 « Oral health and rehabilitation :  impact on dysphagia  »

Here are  the confirmed keynote speakers : 

Yasemin Karaca  ( Maxillofacial surgery) : « Dental rehabilitation for oncologic patients »

Dr. Yasemin Karaca is a specialist in maxillofacial surgery and stomatology, with extensive clinical experience gained in hospitals across Belgium and Switzerland, including CHIREC, UZ Leuven, Jules Bordet Institute, and the Centre Hospitalier de Mouscron. Her areas of expertise span orthognathic surgery, oncologic and reconstructive maxillofacial surgery, and multidisciplinary management of complex cases.
Dr. Karaca completed her medical degree at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the Université de Mons (UMONS), followed by advanced training in dentistry, stomatology, and maxillofacial surgery at ULB.
She is currently working on a doctoral thesis focused on developing and validating a radiological biomarker-based model to predict dental irradiation and its impact on dental health in head and neck cancer patients.

 

At our congress, she will shed light on when to refer, which oral lesions to watch for, when to be concerned, and how to approach these issues – a highly practical and insightful presentation

Dr. Genot, ( stomatologist specialized in laser therapy) : “Lasertherapty :   Indications and potentials”

Dr. M-T. Genot is a medical doctor and stomatologist, trained at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where she received her medical degree in 1965, followed by a specialization in stomatology in 1969.She completed a residency in Oral Surgery at Tufts University in Boston, and later served as an Attending Physician at the Hôpital Universitaire Saint-Pierre in Brussels.

For 30 years, she ran a private dental practice, while also being actively involved in medical publishing as Chief Editor of Bordet News, the scientific bulletin of the Institut Jules Bordet.
Since 2000, she’s been affiliated with the Institut Jules Bordet, where she was in charge of the Mucositis Therapy Unit, and since 2005, she’s led the Laser Therapy Department.

At our congres, she will give a presentation about lasertherapty; indications and potentials
